In this simple and yummy recipe, I'll teach you how to make a frappe. At Colectivo or Starbucks they can be pretty expensive...plus you can make this anytime and any flavor you want! </div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-t60S50OS9T4/VhV7uA9StsI/AAAAAAAAAwk/2jssCtLYWOA/s1600/IMG_5145.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-t60S50OS9T4/VhV7uA9StsI/AAAAAAAAAwk/2jssCtLYWOA/s320/IMG_5145.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">By the way, I got a nice DSLR camera, so my blog photos will be much better, now!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
<div align="center">
Here's what you'll need:</div>
<div align="center">
Ice cubes</div>
<div align="center">
Coffee (It can be any kind. I usually use leftovers my parent's didn't drink in the morning, but you could also use coffee from a Keurig machine or instant coffee).</div>
<div align="center">
Milk or coffee creamer</div>
<div align="center">
Chocolate or caramel syrup</div>
<div align="center">
A blender</div>

Step #1.</div>
<div align="center">
Add approximately <strong>2 cups</strong> of ice to your blender.</div>

<div align="center">
Step #2.</div>
<div align="center">
Add <strong>1/2 a cup </strong>coffee and<strong> 1/4 cup</strong> milk or creamer</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k8R0B5nfDfw/VhWGOc5O1yI/AAAAAAAAAxI/rOk8YqkG3_k/s1600/IMG_5138.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k8R0B5nfDfw/VhWGOc5O1yI/AAAAAAAAAxI/rOk8YqkG3_k/s200/IMG_5138.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SMo7ZNJWvd4/VhWGtZ6iJDI/AAAAAAAAAxQ/QDsLKxslKvg/s1600/IMG_5139.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SMo7ZNJWvd4/VhWGtZ6iJDI/AAAAAAAAAxQ/QDsLKxslKvg/s320/IMG_5139.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4nS2cXigEbo/VhWHK-ZxrZI/AAAAAAAAAxY/H8W2WFlFPKU/s1600/IMG_5140.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="133" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4nS2cXigEbo/VhWHK-ZxrZI/AAAAAAAAAxY/H8W2WFlFPKU/s200/IMG_5140.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Step #3.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Add chocolate or caramel syrup</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Qm64IzeXfSU/VhWHxP8al0I/AAAAAAAAAxg/Fi3ANaLdu9Y/s1600/IMG_5141.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Qm64IzeXfSU/VhWHxP8al0I/AAAAAAAAAxg/Fi3ANaLdu9Y/s320/IMG_5141.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There are tons of recipes out there for different flavor frappes, like s'mores, birthday cake, probably cotton candy, and a lot more and I may do some things like that in the future, but for now I just added chocolate syrup.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Step #4.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Blend!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Warning: This is very loud...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-a9L65f5NHzU/VhWJGrjHU5I/AAAAAAAAAxs/jIGm34f-36I/s1600/IMG_5142.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-a9L65f5NHzU/VhWJGrjHU5I/AAAAAAAAAxs/jIGm34f-36I/s320/IMG_5142.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Blend until the crunching noises aren't super loud and it looks similar to this!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Step #4.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pour and Drink</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cPX6RoAPqkI/VhWKWNGc-VI/AAAAAAAAAx8/XdAIx5vtii0/s1600/IMG_5143.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cPX6RoAPqkI/VhWKWNGc-VI/AAAAAAAAAx8/XdAIx5vtii0/s320/IMG_5143.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I always put a layer of chocolate syrup on the bottom, and once I've poured in the frappe I add a swirl to the top, too. You could also add whipped cream but I didn't have any.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FuBOjVnC5Nw/VhWMXlbLqfI/AAAAAAAAAyM/S7Oq5S0g2-Y/s1600/IMG_5144.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FuBOjVnC5Nw/VhWMXlbLqfI/AAAAAAAAAyM/S7Oq5S0g2-Y/s320/IMG_5144.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is really yummy and easy! I hope to do more recipes soon. :)</div>

In this post I am going to share with you the third and final part of my DIY Room Makeover - which is about diy décor for your room.</div>
<div align="center">
Even though this is the last part of my DIY Room Makeover, I'm going to do a post about my final result of my room makeover - kind of like a room tour. That might not be super soon though, because I haven't painted my room or gotten new bedding and rugs yet....</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div align="center">
But before we begin, I want to acknowledge that today is the 1 year anniversary of my blog! How cool is that? I actually created my blog in January 2014, but didn't do a real post until September 28, 2014. It's been really fun blogging and I can't wait to expand and improve my blog! Thank you to all who read. I really appreciate it. Also, thanks to my mom over at <a href="http://marykrawczyk.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Commonplace and Curious </a>for helping me create my blog and for always looking over my posts. :)</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div align="center">
On with the post:</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div align="center">
DIY #1.</div>
<div align="center">
Bandana Pillows<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EzfPcB1XTws/VgnglZ6uurI/AAAAAAAAAtk/hTV15cxV97E/s1600/collage%2B1%2Bedited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="128" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EzfPcB1XTws/VgnglZ6uurI/AAAAAAAAAtk/hTV15cxV97E/s640/collage%2B1%2Bedited.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You will need a plain white bandana (1) (I got mine at Walmart in the craft section for 99 cents), fabrics markers, scissors, hot glue, and stencils (optional). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong>First</strong>, I cut my bandana in half (2), then folded them in half to make the pillow size I wanted (3). You can make your pillow any shape or size you want. <strong>Next</strong> I used my fabrics markers (4) and some letter stencils to write on my pillow (5). You could draw/write anything on your pillow: a quote, your favorite animal, a saying, your initials, etc. I wrote "Autumn Days" with a heart on one of my pillows (6), and on the other one I wrote "No matter what happens, be good to people", which is part of a Taylor Swift quote.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wcYYpc51470/Vgni-mjl_iI/AAAAAAAAAt0/LtVsQZbX-00/s1600/collage%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="128" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wcYYpc51470/Vgni-mjl_iI/AAAAAAAAAt0/LtVsQZbX-00/s640/collage%2B2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You can go back and thicken or tweak the letters if you want (7).<strong> The next step</strong> is to glue your pillow sides together (8). <strong>Be sure</strong> to leave an opening for stuffing. You can also sew this if you want! Then of course, stuff it! (9). The final product should look something like this (10). Stuff your pillow with a lot of stuffing, because if you don't stuff them enough, it won't look as good. That's what happened with my second one, but it's still nice. These are super cute and you can totally personalize them! :)</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cUnPp54KZJ4/VgnkSVPbMcI/AAAAAAAAAuA/-ME8A70JYJw/s1600/pillows%2B0.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cUnPp54KZJ4/VgnkSVPbMcI/AAAAAAAAAuA/-ME8A70JYJw/s200/pillows%2B0.JPG" width="149" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">I also made a pillow that said "DREAM" out of some fabrics scraps.<br />
</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
DIY #2.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Easy Wall Quotes</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W44ewjZ77lI/VgnnoRGSRmI/AAAAAAAAAuU/Ell4z4-yCSE/s1600/collage%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W44ewjZ77lI/VgnnoRGSRmI/AAAAAAAAAuU/Ell4z4-yCSE/s400/collage%2B3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is super simple and cute!<strong> First</strong>, I opened one of my photos in <a href="http://www.picmonkey.com/" target="_blank">PicMonkey</a> (1). Hover over 'edit' and click 'computer' to import one of your photos. <strong>Edit</strong> it however you like (2). I just put a filter on my photo. <strong>Then</strong>, add your quote or saying in whatever font and size you like (3 and 4). Click on the little 'Tt' button, select your font, then 'add text' to do that. <strong>Now</strong>, I saved it and opened it in Microsoft Publisher, and adjusted the size (5). You can now print it out (6). These would look great framed, or you could just tape them to the wall.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
DIY #3.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Leaf Garland </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0khg6PeEyCw/Vgnsy4KtYRI/AAAAAAAAAuo/djAeIAkuGJk/s1600/collage%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0khg6PeEyCw/Vgnsy4KtYRI/AAAAAAAAAuo/djAeIAkuGJk/s400/collage%2B4.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For this you'll need:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pressed leaves* (1)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Paint and paintbrushes (optional)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Mod Podge and sponge brush</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
String </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hot glue</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
*Mine were from last year but you can easily press leaves by sticking them in between the pages of a phonebook.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong>What I did first</strong> was paint both sides of my leaves and let them dry (2, 3, and 4). Painting is optional, but I like it because it makes the leaves brighter.<strong> Also</strong>, if you can't wait for fall, but you can only find green leaves, you can add some of the fall color. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you want a more realistic look, use a small brush and similar colors and slowly add details. Otherwise, just go ahead and make it a bright bold color. I had some metallic paint, and that looked really cool. <strong>Next</strong>, paint both sides with a layer of Mod Podge (5). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This gives a nice finish and also adds strength to the leaves so they are more durable. Let that dry (6). <strong>I then</strong> hot glued the leaves to the string (7). You can try tying them on, but I failed at that! :) <strong>Now</strong>, hang them up (8 and 9). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
That's all for today's post! I hope you enjoyed it. It's really fun making all sorts of room décor! I am definitely going to have more posts about room décor in the future.</div>

Yay! It's finally here. Part 2 of my DIY Room Makeover. But wait! If you haven't seen my DIY Room Makeover Pt. 1, go check that out here: <a href="http://thecreativitytree.blogspot.com/2015/09/diy-room-makeover-pt-1.html" target="_blank">http://thecreativitytree.blogspot.com/2015/09/diy-room-makeover-pt-1.html</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In this post, I'm going to show you a few organizational DIY's and storage ideas.</div>
<div align="center">
<br />
#1. Double Organizer</div>
<div align="center">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ta-gqbcc0es/Ve-ihZF8tFI/AAAAAAAAAlw/kgsg_fmw8a4/s1600/organizer%2B7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ta-gqbcc0es/Ve-ihZF8tFI/AAAAAAAAAlw/kgsg_fmw8a4/s320/organizer%2B7.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
You will need:</div>
<div align="center">
Two cardboard boxes, one smaller, one bigger (1)</div>
<div align="center">
Tape</div>
<div align="center">
Scissors</div>
<div align="center">
Hot Glue</div>
<div align="center">
Paper and/or duct tape for decorating</div>
<div align="center">
First, fold in the bottom flaps and tape them (2)</div>
<div align="center">
Next, cut off the top flaps (3). Then, apply hot glue on the back of the smaller box (4), and glue it onto the larger box. Now all that's left to do is decorate. I used mod podge and paper (5), and also duct tape. I really like using duct tape and washi tape because it's so easy! :)</div>
<div align="center">
Now you have two places to put papers. A smaller pocket and a bigger pocket. I really like this and hope you enjoy it, too! <br />
<br />
#2.<br />
Kitty Organizer <br />
No, I'm not talking about organizing your cats...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_k8FqQQqHdY/Vfm8G8Nc7kI/AAAAAAAAAo0/NgkFJKL8xeA/s1600/cat%2Borganization.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_k8FqQQqHdY/Vfm8G8Nc7kI/AAAAAAAAAo0/NgkFJKL8xeA/s200/cat%2Borganization.jpg" width="132" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm talking about this:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VKX2F2sh5YQ/Vfm8RefXhrI/AAAAAAAAAo8/tDn10a4JY5k/s1600/cat%2Bcraft%2Bcollage%2Bedited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VKX2F2sh5YQ/Vfm8RefXhrI/AAAAAAAAAo8/tDn10a4JY5k/s320/cat%2Bcraft%2Bcollage%2Bedited.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
</div>
Here's what you'll need:<br />
A clean liter soda bottle<br />
Scissors<br />
White spray paint<br />
Sharpies/markers<br />
First, I just drew a line with a sharpie to give me a guide of where to cut (1). I left my self lots of extra space so I would have wiggle room when cutting the ears. Then of course I cut on the line (2). Next, I cut out the ears of the cat. (3 and 4). There's not really any way to explain that. I suggest that you use a sharpie to draw the ears on, then cut. It will be more neat that way. I then spray painted it white (5). (Note: You will want to do this outside and with the help of a parent.) I started to paint my kitty with regular acrylic paint, but it would've taken a lot of coats to make it opaque, so I just spray painted it. It turned out pretty well. (6). Now, all that's left to do is draw on the face (7). I printed out the picture of the planter I saw on Pinterest as a reference. I did not spray paint the inside of my organizer, so it's still green. I am probably going to either use washi tape to cover the inside, or just set some tissue paper or fabric inside. This is really simple and I think it's adorable! You could also make this a dog or panda or bunny or anything you want. :)<br />
<br />
#3.<br />
Origami Boxes with Lids<br />
<a href="http://www.origamiway.com/origami-box.shtml" target="_blank">http://www.origamiway.com/origami-box.shtml</a><br />
I absolutely love these for storage! They are perfect for storing little trinkets. Plus, you can stack them. I think the tutorial is pretty simple if you take your time. You'll notice they use standard origami paper. But that makes pretty small boxes. You may want to use 12x12 paper, which is what I usually use. If you use 12x12 paper, your boxes will be the size mine are in the photos below.<br />
</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Rr7tNeTPYe8/VfdaGu6S7GI/AAAAAAAAAmw/-Y-RT2yMaQE/s1600/origami%2Bstorage.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Rr7tNeTPYe8/VfdaGu6S7GI/AAAAAAAAAmw/-Y-RT2yMaQE/s200/origami%2Bstorage.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LmnY9b0eHL4/VfdaZ_JO_vI/AAAAAAAAAm4/s73AepYXmLs/s1600/origami%2Bstorage%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LmnY9b0eHL4/VfdaZ_JO_vI/AAAAAAAAAm4/s73AepYXmLs/s200/origami%2Bstorage%2B1.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here I used the halves of the boxes and pinned them to my bulletin board to make washi tape storage.</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But they would be great for any type of storage. For example, do you have a junk box that you just throw random stuff in? I do. But, it's not really organized if it's in a box, it's just hidden. So I think I'm going to make some boxes, label them, and then sort the things inside my junk box into them!</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
#4.</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Mason Jars</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Mason Jars are awesome for storage! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-upSRr_n7QE0/Vfm7ufqoEsI/AAAAAAAAAow/LJAJrNt29Uk/s1600/sunglasses%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-upSRr_n7QE0/Vfm7ufqoEsI/AAAAAAAAAow/LJAJrNt29Uk/s200/sunglasses%2B2.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-36o9FB0qJCo/Vfm7pAbatXI/AAAAAAAAAok/qT0-zGEai3w/s1600/sunglasses.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-36o9FB0qJCo/Vfm7pAbatXI/AAAAAAAAAok/qT0-zGEai3w/s200/sunglasses.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm storing my sunglasses in this one. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well, I hope you enjoyed this post! I'm really excited for Pt. 3 of my room makeover, which is DIY Room Décor, but I may have some other posts before that. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have a nice Wednesday! </div>
catlover264http://www.blogger.com/profile/02336539913357051225noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3207355301154766053.post-91934777317728525522015-09-03T14:56:00.005-05:002015-10-01T13:58:07.785-05:00DIY Room Makeover - Pt. 1I am currently re-doing my room, and I'm right splat in the middle of it.<br />
I've been wanting and wanting to write this post for a while, so I'm super excited. <br />
I am going to have 3 posts, or parts, to my room makeover. So, the first step to my room makeover is to make a plan. This is pretty simple, so this post is going to be short. My other two posts will be longer. Anyhow, let's get started!<br />
<br />
#1. Sketch<br />
I drew the outline of my room, and then drew my pieces of furniture on a different piece of paper, cut them out, and then arranged them on my room outline. This way you can change up your plan anytime. Be super creative with this. If you can't paint, moving furniture makes your room look a lot different. I just love moving around my furniture, because it's like, "Wait, my bed could be over there!", and "Hmm, I never thought of putting my dresser here."<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KeG4GEUUZAk/VeiUdZQR5JI/AAAAAAAAAjI/Z0nziYhtK8w/s1600/plan%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KeG4GEUUZAk/VeiUdZQR5JI/AAAAAAAAAjI/Z0nziYhtK8w/s200/plan%2B3.jpg" width="149" /></a></div>
<img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NwFT3nPi7oA/VeiUaUpZfhI/AAAAAAAAAjE/FuQ-Y_cDBpg/s200/plan%2B2%2B.jpg" width="149" /> <a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tsX7faqIiDM/VeiUYr0D27I/AAAAAAAAAi8/vhWO2ltQSgQ/s1600/plan%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tsX7faqIiDM/VeiUYr0D27I/AAAAAAAAAi8/vhWO2ltQSgQ/s200/plan%2B1.jpg" width="149" /></a><br />
<br />
#2. Make a List<br />
Making a list of what you need to do and get helps a lot.<br />
Here is an example list:<br />
<br />
Get new bedding<br />
Clean rugs<br />
Paint <br />
Organize closet<br />
Paint nightstand<br />
Make wall décor<br />
<br />
#3. Planning<br />
Yes, just random planning.<br />
For example, you have some frames hanging on the wall with different things in them, but they're not going to with your new room theme. So, you are going to paint them a different color and put something different in them. But, which wall are you going to put them on....hmm? Also, maybe you should move the storage bins out of your closet so you'll have more space...but where will you put them?<br />
You get it. I think planning helps because then you actually do stuff instead of just talking about it. Speaking of planning, have you seen my last post about making a DIY planner? Coming up next......DIY Room Makeover - Pt. 2 - Organizing and Cleaningcatlover264http://www.blogger.com/profile/02336539913357051225noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3207355301154766053.post-87747023568586387102015-08-27T15:13:00.001-05:002015-10-01T13:58:25.655-05:00DIY Planner<div style="text-align: center;">
Back to school is right around the corner, and it's time to start getting ready. So, in this post, I'll be showing you how to make an awesome and easy planner to keep you organized and ready for school.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What you'll need:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A spiral bound lined notebook (this is what I used, but you could also use a spiral bound graph paper notebook). Mine also had a little pocket just inside the cover, which is really nice.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Wm1WRQHWfH4/Vd9lyp-37AI/AAAAAAAAAgc/uvT28gNdEJ0/s1600/Planner%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Wm1WRQHWfH4/Vd9lyp-37AI/AAAAAAAAAgc/uvT28gNdEJ0/s200/Planner%2B1.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-n_IlQVRfYzM/Vd9mCHXQ7rI/AAAAAAAAAgk/yP2M7wCpjHg/s1600/Planner%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-n_IlQVRfYzM/Vd9mCHXQ7rI/AAAAAAAAAgk/yP2M7wCpjHg/s200/Planner%2B2.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You'll also need:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A pencil</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Gel Pens (You can use regular pens but colorful pens are much better.)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Washi tape, stickers, or other decorating materials</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Instructions:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The first thing you'll probably want to do is decorate the cover. I used washi tape, but you could cover it in a piece of colorful scrapbook paper, paint it, or whatever you want. </div>
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2sBUK06BMus/Vd9oYiOvjoI/AAAAAAAAAhE/bAyAOAeO2-0/s1600/Planner%2B13.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2sBUK06BMus/Vd9oYiOvjoI/AAAAAAAAAhE/bAyAOAeO2-0/s320/Planner%2B13.JPG" width="239" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">I left some spaces because I thought the brown added a nice touch.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; text-align: left;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZVw9GCbfl7Y/Vd9nduI4KBI/AAAAAAAAAgw/NyhhZEL9GZQ/s1600/Planner%2B11.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZVw9GCbfl7Y/Vd9nduI4KBI/AAAAAAAAAgw/NyhhZEL9GZQ/s320/Planner%2B11.JPG" width="239" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">I made sure to cover up the logo,<br />
and other stuff I didn't want on the cover of<br />
my planner.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once you've decorated the cover, it's time to start laying out the inside of your planner.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VcRmRTxINp4/Vd9pYwkB-mI/AAAAAAAAAhI/woFO4fng2sc/s1600/Planner%2B4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VcRmRTxINp4/Vd9pYwkB-mI/AAAAAAAAAhI/woFO4fng2sc/s320/Planner%2B4.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used a ruler, and every eight columns, I used a colorful pen to highlight one of the lines. This created four sections. You will notice there is a little extra space on the top and bottom, but you can just decorate that area. Now, your notebook might be a different size then mine, so you'll just have to experiment and make adjustments. I had to do a lot of experimenting.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next, I wrote the month at the top and the dates in the columns.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fkb8dJ2aMvI/Vd9qnN3ueCI/AAAAAAAAAhQ/edhT1rVmmQU/s1600/Planner%2B5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fkb8dJ2aMvI/Vd9qnN3ueCI/AAAAAAAAAhQ/edhT1rVmmQU/s320/Planner%2B5.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The next step was making some vertical lines to split the columns into three sections.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zKhcOF1qtAI/Vd9tkkLcwZI/AAAAAAAAAho/ljfp3OdvTrI/s320/Planner%2B6.JPG" width="239" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Basically, what I did was use a colorful pen to draw the line that separates the dates from the squares. Then, I measured 6cm from that line and marked it with a pencil. The next thing I did was line up my ruler with that mark, and make a line through all the columns with my pen. I then repeated that step once more to accomplish what you see in the photo. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Again, for your notebook, it might be different. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You probably saw in the last photo, that I had three things written at the top of my planner.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well, those are just the things I wanted to put. I'll explain:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JA-fX0olqtg/Vd9wiAuyQhI/AAAAAAAAAh4/-wE-A_8SvAk/s1600/Planner%2B7.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JA-fX0olqtg/Vd9wiAuyQhI/AAAAAAAAAh4/-wE-A_8SvAk/s320/Planner%2B7.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The "Schedule" section is kind of like a checklist. I write down what I need to do everyday in the Schedule section and check it off when I'm done with whatever I had to do.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6E_pMa0rPsA/Vd9xnyfNgvI/AAAAAAAAAiA/4Xv_D7t4ocg/s1600/Planner%2B8.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6E_pMa0rPsA/Vd9xnyfNgvI/AAAAAAAAAiA/4Xv_D7t4ocg/s320/Planner%2B8.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The "To Do" section is pretty self explanatory. It's a to-do list. But, this is different than my routine section because it's stuff I need to do that doesn't happen everyday. Like, write blog post or clean room. It could be pick up books at library or download photos onto computer. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2AGUnDLbNlM/Vd9zWTO-z5I/AAAAAAAAAiM/k9YvV74Pzms/s1600/Planner%2B9.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2AGUnDLbNlM/Vd9zWTO-z5I/AAAAAAAAAiM/k9YvV74Pzms/s320/Planner%2B9.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The third section is "Events", which by the way, you could just title "Calendar", because that's basically what it is. I'll be writing stuff you'd write on a calendar, such as appointments, outings, gatherings, etc. You get the point.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Of course, you can make your categories anything you want. These are just the three things that I wanted in my planner. This way, when I open my planner, I can know what I have to get done, what I should get done, and what I have going on that day.</div>

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-k03xDwoRfpg/Vd91FXb-JgI/AAAAAAAAAic/N-MJcdmdRFM/s1600/Planner%2B10.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-k03xDwoRfpg/Vd91FXb-JgI/AAAAAAAAAic/N-MJcdmdRFM/s320/Planner%2B10.jpg" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Add some washi tape on your pages to bring a lot of color!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now that you have the basics of making a planner down, you just have to keep making pages and writing things in. Of course, you don't have to write in a whole year (or however long you want your planner to go on) in one time period. A good time to do this might be while watching TV or listening to music. I love my planner so much because I can customize it however I want.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You could also add in pages that have inspiring quotes on them or have some photos on them.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have fun!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
P.S. I have tons of cool ideas for more DIY posts, so stay tuned if you like them! :)</div>

I feel kind of sick when I watch movies, specifically when they are on one of those built in movie screens on the ceilings of cars. So, here is a list of things you can do in the car to cure your boredom.<br />
<br />
1. Mad Libs<br />
Mad Libs are so fun! And funny. You can do them alone, but if you want more funny stories, it's best to do these with friends/family. If you can get your whole family to play, awesome! <br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rCrMMHygWnc/Vb6zocBsCnI/AAAAAAAAAaQ/I6tH4qj085Y/s1600/mad%2Blibs%2Blogo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rCrMMHygWnc/Vb6zocBsCnI/AAAAAAAAAaQ/I6tH4qj085Y/s1600/mad%2Blibs%2Blogo.jpg" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Image via google images</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
If you don't have a Mad Libs book on hand, you can print Mad Libs <a href="http://www.madglibs.com/" target="_blank">here</a>.<br />
<br />
2. License Plate Count<br />
This is great when you are driving through several states! Before your trip, write down all the states on a sheet of paper, then when you are driving, say someone passes you with a Kentucky license plate, then make a tally next to Kentucky, etc, etc. If you want, you can write the license plate of every car that passes you on the whole trip, but let's be honest, that's a lot of license plates, and you might want to do a different activity on your car trip. :) I love this, it's so fun! I also sometimes count billboard signs (like firework signs).<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bsQttEDl0qc/Vb_KCV8tJII/AAAAAAAAAao/6necKZUuXOo/s1600/license%2Bplates.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bsQttEDl0qc/Vb_KCV8tJII/AAAAAAAAAao/6necKZUuXOo/s1600/license%2Bplates.jpg" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Image via google images</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
3. Collage<br />
I think it would be really fun to do this! Before your trip, you would print out pictures of the place you are going and also landmarks or locations you are visiting. You could bring a glue stick and notebook, and on the car ride there, paste in the photos and write some things you are excited about, or what you think certain places will be like, whatever you want. When you are there, take pictures of all the places you go. When you get home, you can print them out, paste them onto the next page, and write about your trip and what you loved most. :)<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wLe3RzZWZsY/Vb_KfRAyE5I/AAAAAAAAAaw/2WmFAmy_xk8/s1600/scrapbook.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="286" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wLe3RzZWZsY/Vb_KfRAyE5I/AAAAAAAAAaw/2WmFAmy_xk8/s320/scrapbook.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Image via google images</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
4. Journaling<br />
You could add journaling to your collage and make a scrapbook out of it! Basically, just journal in the car, and each day when you are there. It'll be a fun way to remember things! I guess this isn't exactly a thing to do in the car, but you can do part of it in the car<br />
<br />
5. Color/Do An Activity Book<br />
Coloring is super fun!!! If you don't have a coloring book, there are tons of websites you can print pages from. <br />
I like these ones from hallmark: <a href="http://ideas.hallmark.com/summer-ideas/summer-coloring-pages/?mc=T_E_M_062915_HM_VA_ColoringPages" target="_blank">http://ideas.hallmark.com/summer-ideas/summer-coloring-pages/?mc=T_E_M_062915_HM_VA_ColoringPages</a><br />
And Mr. Printables has a ton too: <a href="http://mrprintables.com/printable-coloring-pages.html" target="_blank">http://mrprintables.com/printable-coloring-pages.html</a><br />
They have really awesome giant coloring pages on there, too! <br />
As for the activity books, I'm sure you can get printables for that, too! But, try and think up some of your own and make a booklet of them! For example, put in car quotes! "Are we there yet?" said _________________. I think car quotes are super funny! I actually saw those in a book, called <a href="http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/all-you-need-is-a-pencil-joe-rhatigan/1116149432?ean=9781623540081" target="_blank">All You Need Is A Pencil: The Stuck In A Car, Train, Or Plane Activitiy Book</a>. If you can get this, do! I saw it at Barnes and Noble and wanted it! Otherwise, as I was saying, make your own. That is just as awesome! You can fill it with jokes, tongue twisters, tic-tac-toe boards, doodle pages, games like hangman or "would you rather" (or make your own game up), etc. Have fun with it!<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LvhhU-LGfsw/Vb_LDXZrPPI/AAAAAAAAAa4/zjeW-aaRiQo/s1600/colored%2Bpencil%2Bheart.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LvhhU-LGfsw/Vb_LDXZrPPI/AAAAAAAAAa4/zjeW-aaRiQo/s320/colored%2Bpencil%2Bheart.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Image via google images</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
6. Guessing Games<br />
I played a "guess the song" game with my cousins on a recent roadtrip. One person would hum a tune and the others had to guess it! It would also be fun to do movies/books. You would have to describe a movie/book without saying the title, characters names, authors name, etc.<br />
<br />
7. Listen To Music/Audiobook<br />
Want to read a book but it makes you sick to your stomach? Listen to an audiobook! Also listen to music, it will make you a lot happier in the car. Music seems to always lift my mood. The bonus? You can listen to music while doing these activities in the car! Unless you are doing them with another person.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-80gfBrl4BrY/Vb_OK8Jq4TI/AAAAAAAAAbM/t61SAT2ANoo/s1600/music.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="236" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-80gfBrl4BrY/Vb_OK8Jq4TI/AAAAAAAAAbM/t61SAT2ANoo/s320/music.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Image via google images</td></tr>
</tbody></table>

A few weeks ago, I did a photography camp at an art center. We got to use nice cameras, we went to some cool locations, and it was a lot of fun.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In this post, I will be sharing with you some of these photos. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><div align="center">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Pu1nV_58I2s/VYilRU4nbUI/AAAAAAAAASo/ESSQdApUNA0/s1600/012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Pu1nV_58I2s/VYilRU4nbUI/AAAAAAAAASo/ESSQdApUNA0/s400/012.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
</td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Some bright flowers I saw when we were walking around the neighborhood. </td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You may notice in some of the photos, the subject of the photo (in this case the flowers) are offset. That is called the "rule of thirds." Have you every had a grid set on your camera? Imagine drawing a tic-tac-toe board on the photo, or a large hashtag. That's basically rule of thirds. The subject would be in one of the nine squares, instead of simply being centered in the middle. More on the rule of thirds <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Rule_of_thirds" target="_blank">here.</a> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pg5cAhSGuDY/VYoicRDoIVI/AAAAAAAAATw/hWRgJxTzRNY/s1600/073.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pg5cAhSGuDY/VYoicRDoIVI/AAAAAAAAATw/hWRgJxTzRNY/s400/073.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">A dreamy dandelion near the beach...</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is another rule of thirds photo of a dandelion. This could be considered a close-up, because the dandelion is focused in on, and the background is slightly blurry.</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CR3IpPyQ-rQ/VYokGqnhI_I/AAAAAAAAAT8/iObt_DQnbcw/s1600/015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CR3IpPyQ-rQ/VYokGqnhI_I/AAAAAAAAAT8/iObt_DQnbcw/s400/015.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">These flowers and plants were in a big pot outside a shop.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This photo may seem a bit random...the yellow flower near the middle is the subject of the photo. The brownish-red plant is framing it. Framing in a photo is when the person or object in the photo is in a sort of frame. They could be standing in a doorframe or by a big open window. It could be by a fence or a tree branch. Let's just say there are lots of options. If you'd like to see some more examples of framing, click <a href="https://www.google.com/search?q=macro+photography&rlz=1T4GGHP_enUS617US617&biw=1366&bih=589&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=QiGKVcn_Do_UoATqq6ewCg&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ#tbm=isch&q=natural+framing+in+photography" target="_blank">here.</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-THPKuIPn2NM/VYogznVGYzI/AAAAAAAAATc/ZU6uptVezzg/s1600/033.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-THPKuIPn2NM/VYogznVGYzI/AAAAAAAAATc/ZU6uptVezzg/s400/033.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"> This is one of my favorite photos. I love getting up-close and seeing things so clearly.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
This is a close-up, or what they call a "macro" (short for macrophotography) of a tree.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A "macro" photo captures the texture of something. It could be a tree, like in the photograph pictured above. I think macrophotography is fun. I always like getting really close to something and taking a clear, focused picture of it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Uw9B_k89QUY/VYoh6rChl_I/AAAAAAAAATo/2xmuatWqAyc/s1600/076.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Uw9B_k89QUY/VYoh6rChl_I/AAAAAAAAATo/2xmuatWqAyc/s400/076.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Here is another macro of a dog's nose and face.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You can see the sort of dot texture on his nose.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is an action shot, too. It seems as if the dog was sitting still, almost posing...but he was moving, and it was hard to take a photo of him. Though action shots are hard, they are often the best, because they capture moments and emotions.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RtLARac60VM/VZrKV43YY3I/AAAAAAAAAUk/L_FrE9NJhDI/s1600/066.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RtLARac60VM/VZrKV43YY3I/AAAAAAAAAUk/L_FrE9NJhDI/s400/066.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The lake and sky looked gorgeous that day! <br />
</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is a landscape photo, which has three elements: foreground, middle ground, and background. In this photo, the foreground is the rock, which I had the camera set on. The middle ground would be the lake, and the background would be the clouds and sky.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-diHyk9A2hyk/VZrLdG6dErI/AAAAAAAAAUo/0lUBaIzdhas/s1600/071.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-diHyk9A2hyk/VZrLdG6dErI/AAAAAAAAAUo/0lUBaIzdhas/s400/071.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">I absolutely love this shot of a rock, with the lake in the background. It's another macro shot. You can totally see the texture and details of the rock. </td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RF_tIVlNQSM/VZrMysedNmI/AAAAAAAAAU0/lLXGqJC90ic/s1600/049.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RF_tIVlNQSM/VZrMysedNmI/AAAAAAAAAU0/lLXGqJC90ic/s400/049.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The clouds were really pretty. I love clouds when they are like this. This photo would look even better with a filter.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H3lwOGtO0do/VZrNZarCd8I/AAAAAAAAAU8/xs4VJspOWUM/s1600/110.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H3lwOGtO0do/VZrNZarCd8I/AAAAAAAAAU8/xs4VJspOWUM/s400/110.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">A beautiful day to be in the park. The boats looked really nice floating on the lake, the grass was green, the sky was blue.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Above is another landscape of the lake, and below is the same photo but in a different view. I guess it could be a bugs-eye view. I've always loved getting into a different perspective: laying down, looking up, shooting pictures in a different angle, etc.</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Cofd6qFyLP0/VZrOSwll85I/AAAAAAAAAVQ/xTFQSqaZf2k/s400/114.JPG" width="400" /></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The grass is close-up and focused on, so I guess this could also be considered a macro.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Speaking of perspective, I took the photo below by getting really close to the tree and then pointing the camera upward. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UwwStDd-smk/VZrNlWghk4I/AAAAAAAAAVE/5SKwzPVO2Dw/s1600/115.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UwwStDd-smk/VZrNlWghk4I/AAAAAAAAAVE/5SKwzPVO2Dw/s400/115.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">A great macro of some really cool tree bark.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well, those are all the photos I will be sharing today. I have more and will take more soon so hopefully I will do another post on photography.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

A couple of days ago, my Mom and I did some cool chalk art on the front sidewalk. Today I will be blogging about it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5Pcmx0qCKV4/VS7ep1igVaI/AAAAAAAAANg/2JxB30bvouM/s1600/chalk%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5Pcmx0qCKV4/VS7ep1igVaI/AAAAAAAAANg/2JxB30bvouM/s1600/chalk%2B2.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hyLKxlk_orA/VS_V3EmGYkI/AAAAAAAAAPE/-QGUSa0uh8k/s1600/chalk%2B4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hyLKxlk_orA/VS_V3EmGYkI/AAAAAAAAAPE/-QGUSa0uh8k/s1600/chalk%2B4.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We did this a while ago, and we did it again yesterday. It's really fun and relaxing. We each had our own square of sidewalk, and we did doodles and zentangle designs on them. It's really bright and a great spring activity. It gives a great splash of color on your front walk. </div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Try all sorts of creative doodles, you can write words, just do patterns, draw something and do patterns around it, etc. Just fill the square. The possibilities are endless! Buy some cool new chalk if you want. We tried some "glitter chalk", it was really nice, and sparkles in the sun. Someday I want to chalk the whole portion of our front sidewalk! But I would need a lot of chalk. :)</div>

<span style="color: cyan;"><span style="color: black;">Hello and welcome to The Creativity Tree!</span> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sorry I haven't done a post in a while. But now, with Spring and Easter right around the corner, I decided, why not create some colorful crayon art for Spring. So, enjoy! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-j96ZqKtuxVk/VRnmAWq4zQI/AAAAAAAAALo/MzSm2cXF8AY/s1600/crayon%2B9.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-j96ZqKtuxVk/VRnmAWq4zQI/AAAAAAAAALo/MzSm2cXF8AY/s1600/crayon%2B9.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-j96ZqKtuxVk/VRnmAWq4zQI/AAAAAAAAALo/MzSm2cXF8AY/s1600/crayon%2B9.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a></div>
<div align="center">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-j96ZqKtuxVk/VRnmAWq4zQI/AAAAAAAAALo/MzSm2cXF8AY/s1600/crayon%2B9.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What you need:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Crayons, new or old</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A canvas</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A blow-dryer</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hot glue gun</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Newspaper and cardboard </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(to protect your workspace)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Instructions:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Start with your crayons and your canvas. You can decide to place your crayons however you want. The rainbow pattern, ROY G BIV, is very popular for crayon art, and that is what I used, but you can do any colors and patterns you want. Be creative with the shades of colors you use. Arrange the crayons on the canvas the way you would like. Remember, they don't have to go across the top. You could glue them in the middle for example. (Also, don't worry about the brand of crayons you use. I used a large variety and it worked totally fine; it's just that some crayons melt faster than others.)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lA5xc_rkZnk/VRno2ulvVSI/AAAAAAAAAL8/TVKNhTIgHeE/s1600/crayon%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lA5xc_rkZnk/VRno2ulvVSI/AAAAAAAAAL8/TVKNhTIgHeE/s1600/crayon%2B2.JPG" width="240" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V_rM5RX157M/VRnoxMXtmRI/AAAAAAAAAL0/3PnwE8O56Yk/s1600/crayon%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V_rM5RX157M/VRnoxMXtmRI/AAAAAAAAAL0/3PnwE8O56Yk/s1600/crayon%2B1.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once you are happy with the arrangement of your crayons, it's time to glue them.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I glued a strip of glue onto the back of each crayon and then stuck them into place. Don't be shy with the glue, because you don't want the crayons to fall off the canvas when you are blow-drying it. But be careful with the hot glue, it can get really hot. I even burned myself. :( </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IbdqPOpPwDc/VRnqQboamtI/AAAAAAAAAMM/SVd6AnFzspI/s1600/crayon%2B4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IbdqPOpPwDc/VRnqQboamtI/AAAAAAAAAMM/SVd6AnFzspI/s1600/crayon%2B4.JPG" width="240" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dJH2_iN3p0w/VRnp6w0kmdI/AAAAAAAAAME/FAB7TH3pBPo/s1600/crayon%2B3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="height: 241px; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; width: 207px;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dJH2_iN3p0w/VRnp6w0kmdI/AAAAAAAAAME/FAB7TH3pBPo/s1600/crayon%2B3.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div align="center">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NAF41ESPPxw/VRnrVXJ8qoI/AAAAAAAAAMY/ebngeSN4_HA/s1600/crayon%2B5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NAF41ESPPxw/VRnrVXJ8qoI/AAAAAAAAAMY/ebngeSN4_HA/s1600/crayon%2B5.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now, let the glue dry and cool. (Hot glue dries very quickly, but just make sure it is fully dry before you blow-dry.) To test if your crayons are dry and set, shake your canvas around a bit or knock the bottom of it on a hard surface. If there are loose crayons, they'll probably fall off. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now, it's time to blow-dry! You will want to prop the canvas up when blow-drying.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nKzDIAqULO0/VRnsqfAoCyI/AAAAAAAAAMo/hdpjE2urWyE/s1600/crayon%2B7.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nKzDIAqULO0/VRnsqfAoCyI/AAAAAAAAAMo/hdpjE2urWyE/s1600/crayon%2B7.JPG" width="240" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gdTirzEYaAU/VRnsjfnQMWI/AAAAAAAAAMg/UnIaDu1Qvl0/s1600/crayon%2B6.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gdTirzEYaAU/VRnsjfnQMWI/AAAAAAAAAMg/UnIaDu1Qvl0/s1600/crayon%2B6.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We set up lots of newspaper on the floor and wall, and set a piece of cardboard on the wall, then set the canvas on top of that. (Beware, this is very messy and the melted crayon can splash everywhere, so set up lots of newspaper. When I did it, some splashed on the wall and floor, but it came off.) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Blow dry on high, heating all the crayons evenly. Start towards the middle of the crayons, like where the logos are. They will first start getting wet/shiny, then start splashing onto the canvas. To prevent lots of wax from splashing off the canvas, start blow-drying from the top, pointing downwards. This will cause the wax to run down and onto the canvas instead of splashing everywhere. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7HAUY49y8lE/VRnuOj3au_I/AAAAAAAAAM0/Opf91Wvj_Ik/s1600/crayon%2B8.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7HAUY49y8lE/VRnuOj3au_I/AAAAAAAAAM0/Opf91Wvj_Ik/s1600/crayon%2B8.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7BxDZS3UyG0/VRnuXY4CnXI/AAAAAAAAAM8/TGh5KxWCau8/s1600/crayon%2B9.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7BxDZS3UyG0/VRnuXY4CnXI/AAAAAAAAAM8/TGh5KxWCau8/s1600/crayon%2B9.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Keep heating until you get your desired look. The longer you heat it, the more it is going to mix together and blend, so beware of that. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And you're done! Let it dry/cool/harden in an upright position. Then you can set it on a shelf, hang it on a wall, etc. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Welcome to The Creativity Tree!</div>
<br />
Today I will be doing a tutorial on making Valentine's Day candy bark.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XHjDdE8kX-k/VNkpcYxbgGI/AAAAAAAAAKA/qZ94DrLoGsQ/s1600/candy%2B9.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XHjDdE8kX-k/VNkpcYxbgGI/AAAAAAAAAKA/qZ94DrLoGsQ/s1600/candy%2B9.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The finished product</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
What you will need:<br />
Candy melts (I got these red, vanilla flavored candy melts at Aldi)<br />
Mix-ins (I used conversation candy hearts and valentines day candy corn broken into pieces)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-b2JnXdXOkiA/VNkk9tubS1I/AAAAAAAAAJo/iAL7UmzdA-8/s1600/candy%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-b2JnXdXOkiA/VNkk9tubS1I/AAAAAAAAAJo/iAL7UmzdA-8/s1600/candy%2B1.JPG" width="240" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8t-CohURPA8/VNkmhTumGSI/AAAAAAAAAJ0/R_7pzHjIuqU/s1600/candy%2Bpic.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8t-CohURPA8/VNkmhTumGSI/AAAAAAAAAJ0/R_7pzHjIuqU/s1600/candy%2Bpic.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Instructions:<br />
<br />
*Begin by covering a baking sheet with wax paper. <br />
<br />
*Then microwave 2 cups of candy melts in a large bowl, microwaving in thirty second intervals, mixing in between, till smooth.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Zx4GqzOL0Bw/VNkqpYV7hrI/AAAAAAAAAKI/Z_gBc_LWf6k/s1600/candy%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Zx4GqzOL0Bw/VNkqpYV7hrI/AAAAAAAAAKI/Z_gBc_LWf6k/s1600/candy%2B2.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M5-hfcrDowg/VNkqyGoaREI/AAAAAAAAAKQ/rOZc9WDjYK0/s1600/candy%2B3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M5-hfcrDowg/VNkqyGoaREI/AAAAAAAAAKQ/rOZc9WDjYK0/s1600/candy%2B3.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
*Add mix-ins and stir till they are coated. (Add as many or little mix-ins as you like. From previous times of trying this, I have seen that more mix-ins adds more flavor and is better.) </div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Mu7HyKhAwDE/VNksZHdnClI/AAAAAAAAAKc/6RoJ87P-7WE/s1600/candy%2B6.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Mu7HyKhAwDE/VNksZHdnClI/AAAAAAAAAKc/6RoJ87P-7WE/s1600/candy%2B6.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
*Pour the candy mixture onto your wax paper. Use a spoon/spatula to even out the mixture. You can make it thin or thick. Top it off with sprinkling more mix-ins on top.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pc65zx0cHBw/VNksu-MATwI/AAAAAAAAAKk/70BQzG4huyE/s1600/candy%2B7.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pc65zx0cHBw/VNksu-MATwI/AAAAAAAAAKk/70BQzG4huyE/s1600/candy%2B7.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
*Let the bark cool/harden completely. Break it or cut it into pieces (I did pizza shaped pieces). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mvwH-ymdJwQ/VNks7h61jqI/AAAAAAAAAKs/m8EoTCsp0BU/s1600/candy%2B5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mvwH-ymdJwQ/VNks7h61jqI/AAAAAAAAAKs/m8EoTCsp0BU/s1600/candy%2B5.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I used a spatula to pry the bark off of the pan. The wax paper makes it easy to take off. <br />
It's like a giant cookie. Yum!<br />

They inspire me, and I want to write about them. <br />
<br />
<strong>Orca Facts:</strong> <br />
(facts quoted from <em>Killer Whales</em> by Charnan Simon and Ariel Kazunas)<br />
<br />
Class: Mammalia<br />
Order: Cetacean<br />
Family: Delphiniade <br />
Genus: Orcinus <br />
Species: Orcinus orca <br />
World distribution: The most widely distributed animals; found in all oceans, from the Arctic to the Antarctic; most common in colder waters.<br />
Habits: Highly social animals; live together in groups called pods; hunt cooperatively to capture prey; make a wide variety of communicative sounds. <br />
Diet: Fish, squid, sharks, penguins, seals, sea lions, porpoises, and other marine animals, depending upon the location.<br />
<br />
Killer whales are the largest members of the dolphin family. The average male weighs about 10,000 pounds (4,536 kilograms) and is between 19 and 22 feet (5.8 and 6.7 meters) long. So a killer whale probably would not fit in your living room. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zluvILpXoOM/VLmVuObP5wI/AAAAAAAAAHs/G6GqyO-tG4k/s1600/orca%2Bcompared%2Bto%2Bhuman.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zluvILpXoOM/VLmVuObP5wI/AAAAAAAAAHs/G6GqyO-tG4k/s1600/orca%2Bcompared%2Bto%2Bhuman.png" /></a></div>
This is an orca compared to an average human.<br />
<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
"Orcas are highly intelligent, curious, and playful. Orca social groups are very complex. They graceful, amazing, killer whales are a favorite at marine parks and on boat tours." </blockquote>
<br />
Fierce hunters: <br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
"A killer whales large jaw is lined with as many as 56 sharp teeth. Some of their teeth can be as long as 4 inches (10 centimeters). Killer whales don't need to chew their food, they swallow it whole. A killer whales black-and-white coloring acts as a camouflage to help the whale sneak up on prey. For example, a seal lying on an ice floe will most likely not see a the orca because it blends with the dark water." </blockquote>
<br />
An extra sense: <br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
"Orcas have very good eyesight. They can spot prey underwater and above the surface. But even with excellent eye-sight, orcas can only see so far underwater. They have an especially hard time seeing at night. So instead of using their eyes to see, they use their six sense, which is echolocation."</blockquote>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-j3u4-12ODLs/VLmaaHBJJ6I/AAAAAAAAAIA/aYzT32Kxbi8/s1600/orca%2Bwhale%2Bunderwater.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-j3u4-12ODLs/VLmaaHBJJ6I/AAAAAAAAAIA/aYzT32Kxbi8/s1600/orca%2Bwhale%2Bunderwater.png" /></a></div>
<br />
Growing Up in the Pod:<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
"Female orcas give birth to one calf at a time. A newborn orca weighs around 400 pounds (181 kg) and is about 8 feet (2.4 m) long. Right after the orca is born the mother pushes it to the surface of the water for it's first breath. As the calf grows, other members of the pod teach it hunting and swimming skills and play with it. An orca pod is basically a big group of sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. These family members all take care of each other." </blockquote>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-h9hZm1AEukU/VLmfOWPUGFI/AAAAAAAAAIM/O56D801syh0/s1600/baby%2Band%2Bmother%2Bwhale.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-h9hZm1AEukU/VLmfOWPUGFI/AAAAAAAAAIM/O56D801syh0/s1600/baby%2Band%2Bmother%2Bwhale.jpg" /></a></div>
A baby nuzzling with a mother. <br />
<br />
<br />
Orcas are very loving and smart. In fact, they have a part of the brain that humans don't. <br />
That brings me to a point that was a big inspiration for this post. Orca whales are captured to be put in big attraction parks like SeaWorld, Loro Parque, MarineLand, and A LOT more. Mother orcas scream and cry as their babies are taken away from them. In the movie "Blackfish" they interview a fisherman who was capturing orcas. He said he just lost it when they took the babies away and started to cry. It's like taking a kid away from his mother at the park. It's mean, bad, and I hate it. Orcas belong in the wild. There was recently a walk to free Lolita, an orca whale that has been held captive at Miami Seaquarium for 40 years. Her tank is 60-by-80-feet and is 20 feet long. It's way too small. On January 17, 2015, thousands of protesters gathered from all around the world outside the Seaquarium, to ask for Lolita's release, and asked other supporters to tweet #FreeLolita on twitter. Some people say that she will die in the wild. They say Miami Seaquarium is her "home". Lolita won't die in the wild, and even if she does, she'd rather that than live miserably in her tiny tank. Lolita used to live with another whale, Hugo. But he died March 4, 1980, by repeatedly smashing his head into the walls of the tank. We'd rather see Lolita die free and happy in the wild then do what Hugo did. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rAFxBxZ1ET0/VL6QuLXZoXI/AAAAAAAAAIs/BCgnnbg-4lE/s1600/lolita%2Bin%2Btank.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rAFxBxZ1ET0/VL6QuLXZoXI/AAAAAAAAAIs/BCgnnbg-4lE/s1600/lolita%2Bin%2Btank.png" /></a></div>
<br />
Could you live in a bathtub for 40 years?<br />
If freed, whales like Lolita, that were born in captivity, would be put into a "sea pen" - a netted off area near the coast) for rehabilitation. When they are there they would learn the skills of orcas in the wild. Lolita needs to be freed!<br />
<br />
Another orca is Tilikum, nicknamed Tilly, who is the star of the movie "Blackfish". Tilikum is involved in the death of 3 trainers during his time in captivity: a trainer at the now-defunct Sealand of the Pacific in South Oak Bay, British Columbia, a trainer at Orlando's Sea World (which is where Tilikum is now), and a man trespassing on Sea World Orlando's property. Tilikum measures 22.5 feet long and weighs 12,000 pounds. His 6.5 foot tall dorsal fin is collapsed completely to his left side - a sign of a stressed and depressed whale. Tilikum is the largest orca whale in captivity. As a person in "Blackfish" remarked, "If you were in a bathtub for 25 years, don't you think you would get irritated, aggravated, and maybe a little psychotic?!?" <br />
<br />
People seem surprised about all the killer-whale-involved deaths. That annoys me. They do not belong in captivity, never did, and never will. They are killer whales, that's right, killer, not cuddle whales. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Dc2n7oC6aZk/VL68Pcf00iI/AAAAAAAAAI8/uhCKf1Dt6hA/s1600/tilikum.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Dc2n7oC6aZk/VL68Pcf00iI/AAAAAAAAAI8/uhCKf1Dt6hA/s1600/tilikum.png" /></a></div>
Tilikum's collapsed dorsal fin. Orca whales need to be freed from captivity. <br />
<br />
<strong>Some ways you can help are:</strong> <br />
Learn more about killer whales and their captivity. Read books and watch documentaries.<br />
Tell your family and friends. Tell them not to support places like Sea World or Seaquarium or other places that orcas are held captive. <br />
Make your voice heard. Protest against captivity and help spread the word. Do blog posts, write articles or papers, post on social media, support social media anti-captivity accounts, and more. <br />
<br />
Thanks for reading! Please help free the orcas. <br />

<br />
In this post, I will talk about fostering cats. One day, in 2012, we had the idea of fostering cats - and having no pets, thought it would be a fun experience, plus it would be a good cause. <br />
<br />
Our first group: <br />
Our first foster group was a litter of four kitties, not as small as kittens, but also not fully grown. They were brown/white tabbies and all had different personalities. One was really sweet, and we named him Sweetsie. One was shy and had swirly patterns, and we named her Swirl. One had tiger markings, therefore named Tiger. Lastly, there was the kind of naughty one, and we name him Stinker. The shelter changed Tiger's name to Susan though, and they also changed Stinker's name. <br />
Here is a photo of Tiger (left) and Stinker (right).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Bqz5ZOamEKA/VK76yUMAQDI/AAAAAAAAAEY/AsEAllDDgSg/s1600/foster%2Bgroup%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Bqz5ZOamEKA/VK76yUMAQDI/AAAAAAAAAEY/AsEAllDDgSg/s1600/foster%2Bgroup%2B1.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
Our second group:<br />
Our next group was two gray/blue kittens, that we named Angel and Buddy S. They were sweet and cuddly and super cute! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lzB9ybraC_4/VK77UBjMYoI/AAAAAAAAAEg/mamfZpBaMXM/s1600/angel%2Bcat%2B%26%2Bbuddy%2Bs.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lzB9ybraC_4/VK77UBjMYoI/AAAAAAAAAEg/mamfZpBaMXM/s1600/angel%2Bcat%2B%26%2Bbuddy%2Bs.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>

Me holding angel. :)<br />
<br />
Third foster group:<br />
Our third group was two kittens and their mother.<br />
We named them BuddyJay and Buttercup. We fell in love with them and adopted Jay and Cup after fostering them. They are now almost three years old. It is slightly hard to believe, but BuddyJay is a gray long hair, and Buttercup is a tan/buff shorthair, and they are from the same litter. They are really sweet and amazing and adorable! They were only one month old when we got them. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ptInmIvML8s/VK79QNNAnnI/AAAAAAAAAE0/hnaYBg6kDb0/s1600/little%2Bbuddy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ptInmIvML8s/VK79QNNAnnI/AAAAAAAAAE0/hnaYBg6kDb0/s1600/little%2Bbuddy.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
Little BuddyJay - he was tiny and had an eye condition when we first got him. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2M5oMa2ZoMs/VK7-K636B8I/AAAAAAAAAFE/J7fViqtPzaI/s1600/little%2Bbutter%2Bcropped.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2M5oMa2ZoMs/VK7-K636B8I/AAAAAAAAAFE/J7fViqtPzaI/s1600/little%2Bbutter%2Bcropped.jpg" height="320" width="207" /></a></div>
Little Buttercup! She was an adventurous little one, but she was still wobbly on her legs when we first got her. :)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kI6F4WyG1fM/VK7-5zbXkuI/AAAAAAAAAFM/XeDfgwJwUCk/s1600/689.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kI6F4WyG1fM/VK7-5zbXkuI/AAAAAAAAAFM/XeDfgwJwUCk/s1600/689.PNG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
Cup and Jay now! <3<br />
<br />
After we adopted BuddyJay and Buttercup, we took a little break from fostering, so we could monitor the kitties and slowly let them explore more rooms. Once we had had them for a long while, we started fostering again.<br />
<br />
First cat (first cat not in a group): Our next cat was named Charlotte. Things were a little bit different with her, and all the cats fostered after her, though. She was fostered in my room, because the "kitten room" was made into a bedroom.<br />
Charlotte was very sweet and loved to purr. She was about 1-years-old. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L_tiYpggqQg/VLQpoYzkq9I/AAAAAAAAAFc/0sPVmN2AJa4/s1600/charlotte.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L_tiYpggqQg/VLQpoYzkq9I/AAAAAAAAAFc/0sPVmN2AJa4/s1600/charlotte.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
Meow!!<br />
Second cat:<br />
Our next foster cat was kitten named Charlie. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cdCIUz2mZMA/VLQqQ5CbmTI/AAAAAAAAAFk/x5sgQz9wHT4/s1600/charlie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cdCIUz2mZMA/VLQqQ5CbmTI/AAAAAAAAAFk/x5sgQz9wHT4/s1600/charlie.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
Purr!<br />
He was such a cutie! Although, it's kind of hard to sleep when you have a kitten pouncing on you. <br />
Charlie was a pretty calm kitten and loved to snuggle and play. <br />
<br />
Third cat:<br />
The next kitten was very hyper. He was cute, yes, but he loved to play fight with your hand or foot or anything and he was pretty naughty, adorable, but naughty. He just had so much energy. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lLwV_-Bk8Is/VLQ0u1hj20I/AAAAAAAAAGY/w8qkWlN__PA/s1600/leo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lLwV_-Bk8Is/VLQ0u1hj20I/AAAAAAAAAGY/w8qkWlN__PA/s1600/leo.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
Getting ready to pounce!<br />
<br />
Fourth cat:<br />
Our next cat was an adult cat name 'Jughead'. Please know we did <em>not</em> name this cat - he was named by the shelter. I don't know why they named him that, all I know is I didn't like the name. Anyway, Jughead was very cute and snuggly. He did have a very bad cold/cough and so he needed care.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZCZl_5ijTGc/VLQu0ZDB7AI/AAAAAAAAAFw/-DylqX4jIJw/s1600/jughead.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZCZl_5ijTGc/VLQu0ZDB7AI/AAAAAAAAAFw/-DylqX4jIJw/s1600/jughead.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
Mew. Aww, so cute!<br />
Fifth cat: <br />
Our next kitty was named Nala. She was very sweet and happy and cute. :)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xlM_IXz_Dx0/VLQvvB2MIoI/AAAAAAAAAF4/c_BFt8jfOB0/s1600/nala.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xlM_IXz_Dx0/VLQvvB2MIoI/AAAAAAAAAF4/c_BFt8jfOB0/s1600/nala.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
She had such big, pretty eyes!<br />
<br />
<br />
Fourth foster group:<br />
This is actually kind of a funny story. We went to drop off the previous cat - Nala - at the shelter so she could be put up for adoption. So on the way home we were kind of talking about how we wanted some kittens. Well, we get home and a in a little while, the shelter calls. "Hi, can you take a mom and five kittens?". So we picked them up the next day, and they were so adorable! They were tiny and stayed in the crate for at least a day (probably more), because they didn't need to come out. They nursed from the mom and slept in the back of the crate. Only the mom came out to get food and water. Well, eventually, they came out. They were really cute. We fostered them during the summer of 2014, so our fostering was spread out. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NSKoZfHGVl8/VLQx7oxehZI/AAAAAAAAAGE/EhGPqHvGMVU/s1600/kitty%2Bbasket.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NSKoZfHGVl8/VLQx7oxehZI/AAAAAAAAAGE/EhGPqHvGMVU/s1600/kitty%2Bbasket.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
All of the kitties are piled up in this basket!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ks7IcDx3nb8/VLQySsTj8wI/AAAAAAAAAGM/H4bllblbawE/s1600/nursing%2Bkitties.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ks7IcDx3nb8/VLQySsTj8wI/AAAAAAAAAGM/H4bllblbawE/s1600/nursing%2Bkitties.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The kittens nursing from their mom. Purr!</div>
<br />
So those are all the cats we have ever fostered. After the last big group, we decided to take a little break. Hopefully, we will be able to foster more soon! :)<br />

<br />
I am very sorry I have not posted in a long time. I have decided to do a homemade gift idea list for you. Here it is:<br />
<br />
#1. Collage Initial<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jFNpP6X-kro/VJNyaOFSnHI/AAAAAAAAADc/eUIkwRRkKF8/s1600/initial%2Bcraft'.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jFNpP6X-kro/VJNyaOFSnHI/AAAAAAAAADc/eUIkwRRkKF8/s1600/initial%2Bcraft'.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
This is super fun and easy! I got this letter 'A' at Michael's but also saw some cardboard letters at Walmart. I used all different kinds of paper but stuck with a blue, green, purple, and pink theme. The butterflies are from a punch, and I pasted them on. Plus, you could use stickers. I also used some washi (craft) tape, and you can use duck tape too for an extra flare. <br />
<br />
#2. Tagxedo / Word Cloud<br />

I made this on Tagxedo. You can also make them on Wordle, but you can't have detailed shapes like a cat or reindeer, etc. I think it's a really heartfelt gift. They have tons of different colors, shapes, and more on Tagxedo. Say someone you know is CRAZY about cats...this would be perfect for them! Thanks for reading! catlover264http://www.blogger.com/profile/02336539913357051225noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3207355301154766053.post-73102789258891447162014-10-27T13:22:00.004-05:002014-10-27T13:22:50.241-05:00For today's post, I will share with you some haiku poems I wrote a while ago while on a nature hike. <br />
In a haiku poem the first line is five syllables, the second line is seven syllables and the third line is five syllables again. You'll notice my haikus are not completely accurate, but they are pretty close.<br />
I hope you enjoy my poems!<br />
<br />
Muddy river bank,<br />
Sparkling river water,<br />
Peaceful and quiet.<br />
<br />
<br />
Walking on the path,<br />
Fallen trees are everywhere,<br />
Such a work of art.<br />
<br />
<br />
Leaves have start to fall,<br />
The colored trees stand so still,<br />
Autumn has now come.<br />
<br />
<br />
Crunching snapping sticks,<br />
Lots of things are dry in Fall,<br />
Dry leaves are falling.<br />
<br />
<br />
The forest is pretty,<br />
The sweet sounding water,<br />
Makes me so, so calm.<br />
<br />
<br />
Life is colorful,<br />
Nature is full of color,<br />
Full of all colors.<br />
<br />
<br />
That is it for my haikus. I hope that now you will go and write your own haiku!<br />
Before I end this post I have an announcement to make: Starting with my next post, I will now put a haiku in all of my blog posts. The challenge will be to match the haiku with the theme of the post. <br />
Thanks for reading my blog! : )catlover264http://www.blogger.com/profile/02336539913357051225noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3207355301154766053.post-188869722173093402014-10-17T16:30:00.004-05:002014-10-17T16:30:55.325-05:00Todays topic:<br />
NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) YMP (Young Writers Program)<br />
<br />
NaNoWriMo is a fun writing contest. It's fun even if you don't "win" aka fulfill your goal, which you'll learn more about soon. <br />
We young writers participate in NaNoWriMo YMP, the young writers program. <br />
What is NaNoWrimo? National Novel Writing Month happens every November. It's a fun writing event where the challenge is to complete an entire novel in just 30 days! That means participants begin writing Nov. 1st and must finish by midnight, Nov. 30th. The word-count goal for the adult program is 50,000 words but for us young writers (17-and-under) you set your own reasonable, yet challenging individual word-count goal.<br />
I have done NaNoWriMo only once, and that was last year, so I'm super excited for this year.<br />
Last year I did 25,000 words and this year I'll probably do 30,000 words.<br />
A cool fact is that last year nearly 90,000 young writers participated. <br />
For more information on how to sign up and other cool stuff, I'm going to put the NaNoWriMo YMP link down below:<br />
<br />
<a href="http://ywp.nanowrimo.org/">http://ywp.nanowrimo.org/</a><br />
<br />
I hereby challenge you all to try NaNoWriMo! Now is the time to sign up and listen to pep talks and start planning and such, so hurry up! <br />
And another reason NaNoWriMo is good is because it really brings out your inner writer. Don't mind the typos for now, just let out the writer in you. I especially like this event because it forces me to keep writing my novel and not just never finish my novel. <br />
I think its really cool and you should really try it! :)<br />
Here are some National Novel Writing Month photos:<br />

And please try NaNoWriMo, its really fun. catlover264http://www.blogger.com/profile/02336539913357051225noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3207355301154766053.post-77139455537632937302014-10-08T15:21:00.000-05:002014-10-08T16:12:01.621-05:00<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Hello and welcome to the Creativity Tree.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">For my post today, I will be suggesting two art books and give a short description/review of them. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">In the future I will be doing more book reviews!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Enjoy! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times;">First Book:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times;"><em>Make it!</em> by Jane Bull</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times;">This book is more for younger kids, but I still like to look through it as inspiration for making something out of recycled materials. Also, towards the end of the book, they have a sewing section, which I think could be more for older artists or crafters. It has 4 sections of different materials that would usually be thrown away, and in the sections it has all different crafts. The four sections are:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times;">Paper (some crafts include: paper baskets, paper mache, paper weaving..), Plastic (some crafts include: sun catcher, bird feeder, bottle top art), Metal (some crafts include: magnets, mirror mobiles, metal models), and Fabric (some crafts include: hat and glove stuffed animals, rag mats, pocket purses). Here is a photo:</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Next Book:<br />
<em>Girls' World of Doodles</em>.<br />
I LOVE this book. It's an art activity book where you color in things and also doodle your own things. There is a bunch of pages. It is so fun to do these. It's calming and fun and artsy. <br />
I know there are also other types of doodle books that are the same style, like Boys' World of Doodles, Fashion Doodles, I think there is even a Dream House doodles! There are so many!!!!<br />
I love them and they are super fun and amazing! You should get one! Here is a pic:<br />

<span style="font-family: Times;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times;">Welcome to the Creativity Tree! I will open my blog with a post about Fall/Autumn. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times;">As we enter Autumn, the leaves change color and the air becomes cool. The wind becomes crisp, and you can just smell that fall is in the air. The red, yellow, orange, and brown eats away at the green. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times;">Here are some Autumn quotes:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times;"></span><br />
<div>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
"Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower." -Albert Camus</blockquote>
</div>
<div>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
"Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all." -Stanley Horowitz </blockquote>
</div>
<div>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
"Autumn burned brightly, a running flame through the mountains, a torch flung to the trees." <span style="font-family: Times;"> -Faith Baldwin</span></blockquote>
</div>
<span style="font-family: Times;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times;">Here are some Autumn Photos:</span><br />
